Instructions for sending MT5 logs from Android, iPhone, and Windows desktop, including where to find the Journal section and log files.

If you are experiencing an issue with MT5, our support team may ask you to send your platform logs. These logs show activity from inside the platform around the time of the issue and help us investigate the problem more accurately.

Please include your MT5 account number and the approximate time the issue occurred when you send them through.

Android

1. Open the MT5 app.
2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner.
3. Select Journal.
4. Choose the relevant date.
5. Take screenshots of the relevant log entries.
6. Send the screenshots to our support team.

iPhone / iOS

1. Open the MT5 app.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Select Journal.
4. Tap the Share button.
5. Send the log file to us.

On iPhone, the log file is usually shared in .txt format.

Windows Desktop

1. Open MT5.
2. Click the Journal tab at the bottom of the platform.
3. Right-click inside the Journal area.
4. Select Open.
5. Your MT5 log folder will open.
6. Send us the log file for the relevant date.

The file name usually matches the date, so choose the log from the day the issue occurred.

What to Include

When sending your logs, please include:

• Your MT5 account number
• The date of the issue
• The approximate time it happened
• A short description of what went wrong
• Screenshots or log files from the relevant device

The more precise the information, the faster we can investigate, and the less back-and-forth required
